El Bolsón es el
centro de la Patagonia Andina, en este álbum encontrara fotos de El
Bolsón y los lugares que lo rodean enriqueciendo su enorme patrimonio
natural. Los Lagos, cascadas, ríos y montañas. Bosques y praderas. El
conjunto de estos lugares que rodean a El Bolsón en el centro de la
Patagonia ofrecen al turista los mas variados paisajes que pueden ser
visitados con comodidad atravesando las carreteras asfaltadas que
partiendo desde El Bolsón lo conducirán a increíbles parajes en 15
minutos. Por supuesto, el verdadero disfrute de estos paraísos
naturales comienza con el trekking, cuando uno desciende del vehículo
y se adentra en las postales que observo tras el cristal. Recomendamos
3 semanas de estadía en El Bolsón, para gozar a pleno y conocer cada
uno de los puntos turísticos convencionales.

¡El Primer Minero de El Bolsón!
El sheriff de Texas, E.E.U.U, Martín Sheffield, vecino de El Bolsón,
fue el primer minero en Arroyo Las Minas, lugar ubicado en las
cercanías de Ñorquincó (Provincia de Río Negro) y en los cursos del
Alto Río Chubut. Allí trabajó con hasta ochenta hombres a su cargo
lavaba oro de las arenas de estos lechos.
Él decía que había encontrado su "Kíondite ", no confundir con el
arroyo del mismo nombre, lugar particular donde por años, en forma
ininterrumpida guardó celosamente su mina. Hombre de extraordinaria
puntería, constantemente Bolsón entre los anos '1933-1934 trabajó
como obrajero en la apertura de picadas del camino San Carlos de
Bariloche-El Bolsón, posteriormente y durante varios años lo hizo
como fiel lavador en la mina del comisario.
Según cuenta Riquelme, Martín Sheffield murió por la "fiebre del
oro", aparentemente de un paro cardiorrespiratorio en su propia
mina. Unos metros más arriba del lugar donde falleció, se le dio
cristiana sepultura. Una cruz grabada databa el fallecimiento en el
año 1936. El relato refiere que la cruz de la sepultura apareció en
Buenos Aires en la colección privada de un 'cazador de souveniers',
un turista de origen italiano se apropió de dicha cruz. La sepultura
era mostrada por Riquelme diciendo:'Aquí yace el sheriff..
Treinta años después, los restos de don Martín fueron exhumados y
trasladados al cementerio de El Bolsón por sus familiares. Otro de
los testigos de estos hechos es el antiguo Comisario Martín
Sheffield con revolver
Armando cigarro - con Tamangos - 68 anos conocedor y corroborador de
estos datos históricos según el autor de la obra.

The First Miner of the Handbag!
Sheriff of Texas, E.E.U.U, Martín Sheffield, neighbor of the
Handbag, was the first Stream miner the Mines, place located in the
neighborhoods of Ñorquincó (Province of Rio Negro) and in the
courses of the High Chubut River. There it worked with up to eighty
